This type of error message happens whenever we get an error other than EADDRINUSE when making the socket() system call. The Unix error is the wonderfully descriptive "No such device or address."

In the past, when I have seen this on other platforms, it was due to an incompatibility between orasrv and the underlying TCP/IP software. You might want to check with Oracle support to make sure you've got the correct combination of OS package(s)/version(s) installed with the version of orasrv that you are running.
