The ORACLE Server distribution also typically comes with a run-time version of Book that runs under Motif. For example, we have ORACLE under Solaris 2.3 and it comes with b10runm. I set the DISPLAY environment variable to point back to my Mac, which is running MacX. I set ORACLE_HELP and BOOK_RESOURCE to point to $ORACLE_HOME/orainst. When I run b10runm, the motif display appears on my mac.
