There are many middleware solutions that will enable you to do this. This is done through the ODBC interface. The straight Oracle solution is called SQL*Net. Others include EDA/SQL from Information Builders, SequeLink from Techgnosis, HyperSTAR from VMark/Constellation and DAL Server for Unix from Pacer Software (the company I work for).
