We are building applications using Powerbuilder against an Oracle database in a PC network (Woolongong's Pathway TCP/IP & NFS) and a Unix server (HP800). The aplication is a GUI system.

If one clicks several times to initiate a query (when one would do), an Oracle error (see subject) results (several in fact), as well as the query completing successfully.

Powerbuilder itself occasionally crashes in certain circumstances as a result, we suspect, of this same error coming at a time it doesn't expect.

This happens on a variety of 386, 486, and 586 PC's from several vendors with several different ethernet cards, and two different TCP/IP suites (Woolongong's, and FTP's PC/TCP)... and two different servers, the HP, and a SUN in different environments. Of 10 - 12 PC's tried, ONE (1) works properly (no error however often one clicks); it is a 486, so timing doesn't seem to be the problem.

Oracle support in here in New Zealand said "Don't worry, it is only a warning". Not much help.

Can anyone suggest the precise circumstances when this message might arise and/or give more detail about what it is trying to say? Is it coming from the PC or server?

Yes, we are running SQL*Net, v2.0.15.0.3.
