Oraperl for Ver. 7 library problem.

We're trying to compile Oraperl with Oracle V. 7 on a Sun 4. We keep getting missing functions. There must be a library which the make file doesn't know about.
There are no complaints about not finding libraries that make is asking for.
Undefined symbols include:
_lircpu
_lmemupr
_sslsig and about 40 more.
Versions: Oraperl version 2, patchlevel 0
Perl 4.0.35
Sunos 4.1.2
Oracle 7.0.12.1.0
What should I do?
