We are currently running Oracle 6.0.36 on AIX V3.2.4.
On investigating Oracle 7.0.12 we discovered that the Pro*C executable module
grew amazingly.
Hoping that something might be slightly different, we installed 7.0.16.6 on
our testbed.

A Pro*C program which simply connects and commits produce these stats:
