The memory you may be out off it 'DOS' memory. This is the residual conventional memory after windows and any network drivers are loaded. My PC was down to 56K! An ODBC session gobbled 32k. Using the SQL*Net (v 1.1.7.9.1) nettest.exe to try a connection used just 2k. So Its something to do with loading up ODBC software. I've been monikotring these resources using 'The Norton Utilities for Windows' v 8.0.
