We have a Forms 4.0 application running under Windows that consists of a number of forms integrated together using a menu. The server we have is Oracle 7 running on a Sparc-10. Some of the forms access multiple tables involved in master-detail relationships. These forms have multiple windows/canvasses. After a deletion is performed using these forms, the application crashes. (After the deletes are committed and the user is trying to back out of the form/canvas).
There are no Oracle error messages, but the logfile under MS Windows reports errors like :
(1) F40RUN had an 'Unknown' fault at USDMEM 1:00XX
(2) F40RUN had an 'Exceed Segment Bounds (Read)' fault at ORA7WIN 3:95ea
(3) F40RUN had a 'NULL Selector (Read)' fault at PLR11WIN 2:e1dc
We have the same application running on a Macintosh, and it has no such problem. This has led us to believe that this could be a memory-management related problem specific to Forms 4.0 for Windows.
Any help/clues/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gaurav
