I am looking at switching my skill set from the PC world to Oracle, given that Paradox is a dead dbms, and I am tired of skills evaporating.
What I would like to know is if there are any programs, consultant development, or training seminars done by Oracle for people looking to do consultation work. I also thought about doing a for free job for a non profit to get the necessary experience. I'd like the net.wisdom on the approaches listed above or any other advice you might have on making the transition. Please email as I seldom cruise here yet. Thanks again in adavance.
