Moving fields when designing and editing SQL*Forms 3 displays

In Oracle SQL*Forms 3.0, in designing screens, an object deletion and fill in problem seems to exist. When a draft screen design is created with Field menu selection, the original field X and Y values remain unchanged after object deletions. The first guess layout, based on the base table column definitions and made automatically by the SQL*Forms seems to be frozen and quite difficult to modify.

It is not possible to make the remaining objects (fields and texts) to float and fill in the space left by the deleted object. When the X and Y values are manually edited in Field menu selection, only the field entry blocks (highlighted areas) move, but texts remain in original positions. Editing the position codes in the *.INP file seems to be the only way to get around this.

Are there any relatively easy ways to make the objects (fields) to float and fill the space left by deletions ? Is SQL*Forms 4 any better in this respect ?
