Visual Basic Interface to Oracle

We are developing an application written in Visual Basic V3.0 (Professional Edition) & Oracle V6 running on Novell. The standard Microsoft Dyanaset & Snapshot objects are difficult to use, unreliable & slow.

Could anybody recommen an any alternative interface?
