Hello, Everyone

I am posting this article again.
I need to get orasrv (my listener process) up for my clients to access oracle on server thro' SQLNET. We accidentaly turned off the power to the server IBM RISC 6000.
My problem is I cannot use 'tcpctl' to get orasrv process running. Doing "tcpctl stop" gives :
tcputl:checking read permissions
tcputl:29537 subprocesses still active cannot stop . Doing "tcpctl start" gives among other things indicates orasrv is running ,address in use.
"ps -e -f gives me 4 other processes but not "orasrv"

I need to get my clients able to use server ASAP.

Any suggestions are most welcome and successful suggestion(s) would be well rewarded (I think I am going too far!).   Received on Thu Jul 07 1994 - 18:23:54 CEST
