PARADOX meets (connect) ORACLE ...

Hi Folks,
Dear Experts,

a "nice question" to You - I hope ... :)

Is it possible to connect an ORACLE RDBMS 7 server on a net like NOVELL's NetWare V3.12 with PARADOX V 4.5dt for Windows (dt=deutsch=german) by ODAPI or some other software? The ORACLE Server has the name: ORACLE Server for NetWare V1.1 .

A little theory:
I think it will help to come "to the level" of SQL*Net V2, because -so far I understand it- this peace of software is the "key" to other protocols and DBs - maybe together with SQL*Connect. And this "key" I can "meet" from the other side from other DBs, e.g. PARADOX or DBase.
[ Note: I'm not a well known guy by this theme, of different levels in
network communication processes and the hierarchy in networks. ]

I have read a short infotext -sometimes and somewere in this newsgroup or in the gopherspace ( ... here it's the same :).

It says that there are ODAPI's for PARADOX V4.0 to connect to ORACLE
RDBMS 6. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^
^^^^^^^

If this information is true, I hope Borland will support now working with ORACLE NetWare Servers V1.1 or if not, perhaps local ORACLE RDBMS - no network ?!

In my version of PARADOX V4.5dt f. Win I have "only" an SQL-Link Tool and two FILTERS and TABLE-Devices of ODAPI: DBase IV and Standard (for PARADOX). A few language and config -> *.CFG-files in the Directory of ODAPI, but nothing what looks like a device for ORACLE DB stuff and/or NOVELL NetWare ... :(
So I can't define a new ALIAS (SQL-Link) and find a way to the ORACLE NetWare Server.
If I remember right, there was a little spot at the installations- animation, that PARADOX is open to other (SQL-)DBs. And then I saw in one of the sample tables TABLE TYPES and FIELD TYPES of ORACLE DBs and the translation to PARADOX NEW FIELD TYPES !

The next gift of Murphy was: The `SQL Link-Documentation' (manual) with the chapter `Remote DB-Server' is somewere at the college or at the home of a student - nobody now's. So all I now about this `Remote DB-Server' at this time is, what I can read in the Windows Online-Help for PARADOX V4.5dt f. Win.
[ Note: It's so much information in the Win Online-Help about this
topic, that I will call /dev/null in the future: "A big and large   file, what is full of data, help and information for users who are   in trouble with their system." :() ]

Can I buy or get from somewere else (maybe at ftp-sides) more ODAPI's, as this two FILTERS and TABLE-Devices I got up with my version of PARADOX V4.5dt f. Win ?
Who has the same idea or problem and/or who has experience with this theme and like to help, before I become hysterical ? :)

Ah jep ..., a short question to the readers from the US of America: What is the current version of PARADOX f. Win and of ORACLE NetWare Server at the US market - V5.0 and V2.0 ?

Thanks before

for any feedback, which help me to come to the target,
to work with FORMS and REPORTS of PARADOX V4.5dt f. Win by connect to ORACLE NetWare server V1.1 .
[ Note: NOT that I/we DON'T like SQL*Forms 4.0 and SQL*Reports 2.0 and
other ORACLE stuff for Windows, but it must be nice and good for me   and the nerves of some fellows to use some other Tools, to develop   applications for users of the ORACLE DB ... :() ]

regards

-Reiner-
