Why Oracle doesn't include shlibs under HP-UX?

Hi,

Does anybody know *why* Oracle doesn't ship shared libraries under HP-UX? Do they come as a separate product?

Some simple figures: each program grows about 1+Mb (I'd said 1.5) when Oracle libs are included. Our application runs 10 Oracle clients per host on a 20 host network, this gives us about 200Mb of code replicated. So I'm wasting about 200Mb of memory (or swap) because Oracle doesn't support shared libs!!!

BTW, is Oracle planning to support or provide a Pro*C++ precompiler ?

Any news about better libraries or ideas on how to reduce this figures would be welcomed.

Config: Oracle 7.0.13 under HP-UX 9.03.
