Yes, I've done this a few times from IBM VM/CMS (EBCDIC) 6.0.30 via ftp
to a sun (ASCII) 6.0.32 and 7.0.12 successfully. I used binary transfer
mode
and Oracle is smart enough to convert from EBCDIC to ASCII. My first try
was a success so may be your 7.0.15 installation is lacking some exp-views?
(If Oracle can handle imp/exp form IBM host to Unix box (and vice versa)
why
should it not from VMS to HP-UX (other than VMS likes Rdb) ;-)
