Support for removable media?

I just heard that MS SQL Server may (so I heard, I may be wrong) have support for removable media - CD-ROM - for database storage (and I think also distribution to other MS SQL Srvr sites). I would appreciate information on
- removable media support in Sybase, Oracle or other database servers.
- more information on the above information, if available.
