 Experience:  

5+ years experience performing DBA duties in the Unix/Oracle environment. Analytical, self starter, assertive, dedicated, excellent communication skills and a team player.    

Education: B.A./B.S. (or equivalent)    

Job Description - Roles & Responsibilities:  

DBA performs tasks in support of application development projects including
conceptual database design, transaction analysis, performance modeling and prototyping, physical database design, database access and SQL call analysis,
database documentation, integration and acceptance testing, backup and recovery procedures, access authorization. In addition the candidate should
be able to build standard operation procedures and runbooks in preparation for production implementation.  

DBA should possess specific skills in the Oracle 7 DBMS including knowledge
of DBA tools, utilities and application interfaces. DBA should be skilled in
both database design and performance tuning activities using the Oracle 7 DBMS.   Additional ongoing activities include monitoring and maintaining the development database objects, providing consulting support to application development teams and interfacing with systems engineering on DBMS related support. Experience with AIX and A/UX a plus.
