Generally, under ALL circumstances, the database engine should be enforcing ALL constraints. This is the only way to guarantee that the constraints are met.
Good front-end practice dictates that the constraints -also- be checked by the front-end, so that the user gets useful feedback. Received on Tue Jun 14 1994 - 22:07:26 CEST
