JOB NUMBER 1:- Get the FAQ for this group. Posted recently I believe. Someone somewhere will have a copy, I just don't know who or where.

Right, lets get a few things straight. Oracle is botha Corporation and a product. 999 times out of 1000 we mean the database product though.

The RDBMS is big, powerful and expensive. It runs on more platforms than you've ever heard of (almost) and that include many non-UNIX ones (e.g. DOS, VAX etc.)

The Oracle Corporation are a US company and I don't know how you'd get hold of them, except to say that they are e-mailable (just)

Expect many other answers. and READ THE FAQ!
