NULL during insert

Is it possible to get the actual column name or constraint name for the following exception:
ORA-01400: mandatory (NOT NULL) column is missing or NULL during insert
It is *quite* difficult to find out which column that contained NULLS during insert with the above message as a hint... and the table might contain up to 250 columns.
I'm getting this in a C++ application using OCI as the Oracle interface.
