Dbms alerts to named pipes or sockets

You run a program that wakes up every X minutes, scans the various oracle alert and trace files (since the point of last scan), compares against a list of known benign patterns, and then screams bloody murder (into named pipe, beeper, wall, etc) when it finds something it does not understand.
