HELP! Oracle & VMS

We are looking at getting Oracle to help us integrate our existing systems. All of our current systems are running on a VAX/VMS machine and they all use RMS files. My question is, does Oracle access RMS files directly without any problems? If so, does it allow for file/record locking on those RMS files?
Could you please send any responses to Seppola_at_acd.mhc.ab.ca as I don't get a chance to read news all that often.
