Just read your message whilst purging - Yesterday I spoke to my technical support at Oracle UK about a connection to Turbo Image in the new connect products. She explained it would be a while, if at all, as there were more strategic platforms to consider first. They have created a gateway for AS/400s, as there is now a suitable C compiler on the AS/400.
This will allow access to the AS/400 database throught the Oracle Server, and is transparent to your programes (running on Oracle) where the data came from. I don't know if you can do the reverse and have Oracle data transparently available on the AS/400.
