statics on RAID I/O for databases

If you know somebody to help me in getting some statistics,

Now we are getting ready to change into RAID technology, the plataform we use is RISC 6000 and I wonder if you have any statistics on the access (IO) time for this kind of disks, specifically on the Data Bases Products ORACLE and INFORMIX.

The points of my speciall interest are
- defragmentation of files

• logic/phisic partitioning of the space
• incrementing the space in the data partitions
