Hi,

you have to set your environment-variables correct. Check the values of the variables ORACLE_HOME and especially the variable TERM or ORACLE_TERM. The TERM variable have to point to a terminal-description, which are located in $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/terminal. Try it!!!

By the way, you can check the error-messages using command "oerr". It has the syntax oerr topic errno. Topic is in your case dba, errno is 388 or 389.
