I am told that you cannot use the OPS$<login> validation with UNIX user "root". My application is a UNIX daemon which must run as root. Since it is a daemon, I can't use a dialog to get validation information. It seems like my only two alternatives are: 1) environment variables, or 2) a configuration file locked up and/or hidden somewhere.
Am I missing any alternatives?
