Using SQL*Load on AS/400 data that is zoned with overstrike

Does anyone know how to load AS400 flat files that use overstrike for the minus sign? Our loads take positive numbers, but cannot accept negative numbers.
Right now we used:
column
x position(a:b) "zoned external"
