I currently have Oracle's SQL*plus setup to call QEDIT on our HP3000 running MPE/IX whenever the command EDIT is typed. But for some reason QEDIT does not completely go away when exitted. When I return to the SQL> prompt and execute the query with "/", I suddenly thrown back into QEDIT. Sometimes when I exit again, I get thrown back into QEDIT. Either something recursive is happening or I am being put into QEDIT for every row the query is returning. This is quite comfusing and undesireable.

I have a UDC called QED which call QEDIT with the appropriate filename which will be sent by SQL*Plus. It formats the information string as:

;INFO="T $FILE; VI" The version of the prodeuces are

	SQL*Pluss v3.0.11.3.2
	QEDIT v4.2

Any help will be appreciated. If you respond, please, use mail instead of the 'r' reply command. Our system is currently experiencing dificulties with that. Posting is ok.

Thanks,
