Hello,
I'm doing a project in Oracle at the University.
I rlogin into a remote machine where Oracle is installed
and the keyborad is defaulted to vt220. But the machine from which I
rlogin has a sun keyboard. How do I set the $TERM to make Oracle accept
the sun keyborad.
I tried using :
setenv TERM vt100 setenv term=sun
But none worked. I was not able to use the keystrokes R1-R15. For example I was not able to use R1 R4 etc to go to the next block, previous block.
I'm printing out the environment:
mis:~/hks>env
HOME=/mnt/mis0/ksj
SHELL=/local/bin/tcsh
TERM=xterm USER=ksj PATH=/mnt/mis0/ksj/bin:/mnt/mis0/ksj/bin/sparc:/usr/ucb:/bin:/usr/bin:/local/bin:/etc:/local/X11:/usr/openwin/bin:/local/athena:/usr/openwin/lib/Xol:/usr/games:.:/mnt/mis0/oracle/bin:/usr/local/binLOGNAME=ksj

Any solutions/suggestions is appreciated. Pl. send me mail regarding this, as I'm not a regular reader of this news group.
Thanks in advance.
