Oracle HP/UX client/server to ORACLE NLM?

Greetings...

We're in a bit of a bind here... Due to a decision that was made before I arrived here, we have an Oracle database which runs as an NLM on a remote Novell file server (across a WAN). We need to synchronize the information between that database and a database that resides locally on an HP/UX Unix server.

We'd like the HP/UX server to communicate directly to the Oracle database on the Novell file server, but as far as I know, neither platform can communicate with the other.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this reliably?
