Can one use external motif widgets with Forms 4.0 ?

Is it possible to integrate X/Motif widgets, like scroll lists, etc. with Forms 4.0. I am trying to use the multiple selection features of X/Motif List widget in my Forms screens.
Can something be done in combination with user-areas and user-exits ?
