SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
$3,014 - $3,630 mo.
($36,168 - $43,560 yr.)

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in evaluation and selection of client-server application development tools. Assist in conversion of Ingres 4GL applications to Macintosh
client-server applications. Serve as liaison with non-DP users for client-server,
user-based financial aid system. Design and program student loan tables and screens. Write procedures to load and maintain default data from tapes and other sources. Maintain and upgrade financial aid application and system programs to meet changing
requirements. Perform related tasks as may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Equivalent to one year of experience
performing routine and technical
analysis of procedures and equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or
university.

Ability to analyze microcomputing needs, recommend or design appropriate solutions, employ programming tools and see projects through completion with little supervision. Ability to quickly understand objectives or problems and provide automated solutions.

SPECIALIZED SKILLS: Knowledge of
Macintosh programming techniques; basic understanding of client-server and objectoriented  concepts; thorough knowledge of
relational database technology (e.g., Ingres, Oracle), SQL and 4GLs; thorough knowledge of VAX/VMS operating system, utilities, and system software; thorough knowledge of data processing techniques and procedures, and an ability to program complete problems in the appropriate computer language(s); ability to use VAX, PC and Macintosh.
