I'm sorry if this is in a manual somewhere, but I did look, honest.
When I do "SQLDBA> monitor process", I get a list of things looking like:
5 29902 gay ttyp4 sqlplus_at_jeeves (Pipe Two-Task) orapid: 29903
6 16062 john ttyp0 ? _at_jeeves (Pipe Two-Task) orapid: 16063 7 1444 davie ttyp4 ? _at_wagner (TCP Two-Task) orapid: 8110 8 19466 norm ? ? _at_jeeves (TCP Two-Task) orapid: 19468
What I would like to do is replace the ? with something more meaningful. If sqlplus can do it, why not me?
Oracle V6, SunOS 4.1, Pro*C something or other.
Thanks in advance,
Norm
