OCI odescr

A new OCI call is described in the file $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/doc/vms_readme.doc : odescr , a replacement for odsc , which describes the type and format of select list items. The loader can't find this routine, neither can I. Does this routine exist? If so, how can I use it? Please reply by mail, I will summarize, if there is any interest.

I am running ULTRIX on a DECstation. SQL*PLUS tells me I'm running V6.0.36.0.2 . The top of the vms_readme.doc file is reproduced below.

I don't really know how to find out the version of OCI I am using, as an approximation, I've included the top of the $ORACLE_HOME/proc/lib/proc.mk file.
