Gunther,

I have spent a day to explore Crystal Reports 2.0 on Ms Windows 3.1, but my opinion is not as favourable as yours about the product. My version of CR was packaged into the Visual Basic, I don't know if it was the same or just similar to your version.

My database was ORACLE V6 on DOS, and I couldn't make an A_B_C report with SQL ORACLE data. The sample a_b_c report with simple database files worked well, but in case of ORACLE data I lost the chance to change the FILE LINK OPTIONs. The OPTION button was grey, and I couldn't set the 'first the B, than the C' method.

Otherwise the CR looks pretty, and seems to be quite intelligent, but without this facility it's just a toy.

Have you any idea what happened to me? Do you know anyone who uses CR against ORACLE database ? Maybe You do ?

Thanks,
