AIX version compatibility ?

Hi all
Short Q. Does anybody out there use AIX 3.2.5 and (latest) Oracle 6 concurrently. I ask because the IBM sales rep wants us to upgrade to a new RS6000 (590 i think) and this beast requires a completly new AIX version. Beware !
