Oracle 7 Compatible with MSC 7?

Hi -
We're just starting a project with JAM/DBi and Oracle
Pro*C running on DOS/Windows. We're running Oracle V7
on a IBM 6000, and we'll run SQL*Net on the PC's.
Our JYACC rep is telling us that we need Microsoft C
version 6 for Pro*C (DOS) library compatibility.
We have Microsoft C version 7 around but we'd have to
go find (order) version 6 if JYACC is correct. Can anybody
verify that we indeed need version 6 of the Microsoft
libraries with Pro*C?
