Starting ORACLE and setting MAXDATA or ARRAYSIZE

Is there any way to set the MAXDATA and/or ARRAYSIZE parameters for ORACLE when
starting up the database. We have large tables we are querying from and usually run into the 'data exceeds internal buffer' error, so we have to set MAXDATA higher or ARRAYSIZE lower. Can we set these parameters in INIT.ORA or something like that, so they take effect when the database is started? Thanks for your help...
