Dear Oracle Developers,

   I am posting this query for a friend. Please mail your replies    to the mail address given at the end of this message. Thank you    in advance for your help.

   We are embarking on a major development project and are in the    process of selecting the front-end tools.

   Oracle has been selected as the database back-end to be resident    on a unix box. The front-end is going to be windows based. The    four products that we are looking at are:

  1. PowerBuilder
  2. Gupta SQL Windows
  3. Visual Basic + Visual C/C++
  4. Oracle Forms 4

   Have any of you out there had experience with one or more of these    tools. How do they compare in features, ease of use etc. Price is    important too. How is the support for these products.

   Has anyone used Oracle with the ODBC drivers.

   I would appreciate any comments, results of any tests done so far    and more importantly if you have used more than one of the above    your preferred environment and the reasons.

   Once again, I thank you in advance for your time and comments.
