Export to named pipe?

oracle experts,

I remember some guy telling me that with Oracle7 I could export to a named pipe.

but I forget the syntax.

This would allow me to do two neat things:

1. import from the same named pipe
2. compress the export file "on the fly"

Do you know the syntax?
