Dropping view in ORACLE7 Server Release 7.0.13.1.0

Has anyone else had a problem dropping views in this release (or any other V7 release) of Oracle? We are getting "table/view does not exist," but it definitely does (went and looked in the obj$ and view$ tables, the goods are all there). I have a feeling that something may have gone haywire in the recent upgrade we had.

Any advice would be appreciated.
