Modifying field attributes on Form

I am currently using Oracle 7.0.12 on a Sun workstation and want to modify the display attributes of a field using 'none' or 'normal'. Whenever the display_field command runs, however, I get an undefined attribute error or nothing occurs. The attributes are defined in the xterm resource files that I am using. If anyone has any suggestions, please respond to vschene_at_cos.cta.com.
