I get tons of messages on my news reader. On another host I used to use, there were only about 1/2 of the posts. On this host, I see a great deal of them.

I also look in the Sybase group (comp.databases.sybase) but I rarely see more than 5 messages per day.

Ask your sysadmin if there is something limiting the number of messages downloaded to your newsreader.
