This is (was) a known bug in 7.0.9. A quick fix is to make your SGA small enough to fit in a single shared memory segment. For a more tolerable solution...Call up your support rep and ask for a production release. I've been running 7.0.12 on a SUN 670/MPx2 with no SGA problems at all.
