ROWID in SQL*Forms 3.0 Queries

Does anyone out there know the rules used by SQL*Forms for adding ROWID to SELECT's it creates for base-table queries?
Until this morning I thought it added ROWID unless the form was invoked via CALL_QUERY. But then I saw an example that didn't hold true.
