Replies received following a request about sites running Oracle V7 in production. Inquiries include:

  • The kind of application
  • How big the site is

Production since:	april 1993
Task:			migrating V6 applications and writting V7 new programs
			using database triggers.
Inquiry:		- How to manage developement. Who should write database
			  triggers? DBA group or DEV group?
			- How to control access on corporate tables on
			  distributed databases?
Positive:		Database triggers are great
Negative:		Database administration is not easy.
Bugs/Problems:		There seems to be some bugs with the tools on MS-DOS
			in client-server
