When I use RPT, the line counting gets messed up due to a wrapping field. The page breaks break in the wrong place. Ex:

Date Description
----------- ----------------------------------

23-JUL-93 The quick brown fox jumped over
				the lazy dog.

Because you control the line counter in RPT, this is seen as one line instead of two. RPT automatically wraps for you, but doesn't count the extra lines it may take.

Does anyone out there have a routine that reads in a field and determines how many lines it will take to print that field? I know RPT is not used as much, but I dread re-writing this one in Pro*C. I thought I would ask any RPT'ers out there if they had such a routine. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. When I worked for Advanced Technology, which is now PRC, we had a routine... but I can't remember the code.

Thanks for any help,
