Loss of .inp file

Does anyone know if there is a way to recover the .inp file from the .frm file if the .inp is accidentally deleted? (OOPS!!) The system I am maintaining uses V2.3 forms and we do not store the forms in the database.
(I can get it from backup tape but that takes a few days and also means the loss of 1/2 of a days work.)
