We have a Netware Oracle server (v6 with v7 within the month). Most of the clients (and the DBA) access the server via a Netware 3.11 server (where the tools are installed). We have been having system lockup problems on these client PCs which we believe to be memory related. These PCs are 486/66 with 8 Meg RAM, running MSDOS 5.0 and Windows EMM, so it's not a shortage...
Our Novell people are telling us that DR DOS 6.0 will fix these problems, but then again, they tell us DR DOS will fix all problems. Are they right in this instance?
Does anyone have an optimum memory configuration for the PCs (ie CONFIG.SYS,
EXTENDED, EXPANDED MEMORY, etc.) that have foudn to run well? Any help is
greatly appreciated.
