Hi Netters,

We are considering developing a SQL*Forms/SQL*TextRetrieval application to help users query some textual data contained in Oracle tables. I was wondering if people who have worked on it would share their experiences with the product - aspects like search facilities, printing facilities, interfacing with sql*forms, how does the sql*textretrieval compare with other similar products ( if any) that allow queries on both structured and unstructured data, limitations of the product etc.  From the manuals that I have read, the product sounds very interesting but  I am sure that practical experiences will be quite different. Incidentally,  we are planning to implement our application in Forms 4.0 on IBM PC - we were  told that the sql*textretrieval for PC will be available sometime in the  summer. No word on Macintosh as yet. Please post your experiences on the net.

Thanks in advance !,
Somnath Mishra
